Ten people sustained injuries when a bus returning from Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde’s Dussehra rally met with an accident on the Mumbai-Nashik Highway, said the police.
According to the information received from the police, when the bus reached the bridge on the Mumbai-Nashik highway near Shahapur, it was hit by a truck from behind, and as a result of the collision, the bus hit the divider on the road and overturned in the middle of the road. Meanwhile, another bus, which was coming from behind, also toppled due to the collision.
As per the information received from people and drivers present at the spot of the accident, it was revealed that the incident happened while the bus was returning from Mumbai after the Dussehra gathering.
A total of 10 people sustained injuries in the accident, of which two have been severely injured, said police.
