THANE: In a baffling incident, unidentified individuals threw two flaming tires onto Thane’s Kapurbawdi bridge, sparking alarm in the local community. Prompt response from civic authorities saw firefighters and the disaster management cell swiftly arriving at the scene to extinguish the blaze and clear the charred tires. Yasin Tadvi, the chief of Thane Municipal Corporation’s disaster management cell, reported the incident. Although the occurrence raised immediate concerns, Senior Police Inspector Uttam Sonawane of Kapurbawdi police station ruled out any connection to the recent violence in Jalna.
