A team from the Kalka Municipal Council, accompanied by law enforcement, arrived at the construction site near Pinjore Garden, labelling the ongoing building as an unauthorized structure. However, when confronted with a court-issued stay order, the officials, along with the team, departed in frustration. Prior to their departure, a JCB machine was utilized to damage the pillars being constructed for the building, leaving them in a crooked state.
The builder, Jaspreet Singh Bawa, asserted that he was facing unjust treatment from the administration. Seeking to present his side, he visited the DC office with all relevant documents. Unfortunately, no hearing took place, and he was directed to cease construction. Subsequently, he sought legal recourse, and the court granted a stay order until December 7.
Surprisingly, despite the court’s stay order, on December 6, the Municipal Council’s team arrived at the construction site and commenced the demolition of the under-construction building without any prior notice. The team’s actions seemed to disregard the legal stay granted by the court.
