MUMBAI: Pravin Satra of Darshan Developers in Mumbai has been found guilty of contempt of court for failing to fulfill a commitment to deliver two flats to a buyer couple after almost 20 years. In response, the Bombay High Court sentenced Satra to three months in civil prison and directed him to pay the buyer, Achyut Godbole, Rs 4 crore within six weeks to purge the contempt. The court had noted that the occupancy certificate was only held up because of a lack of a property card, and despite several opportunities, Satra failed to provide possession, leading to the contempt charges.
