In the early hours of Thursday, the Border Security Force (BSF) stopped a Pakistani infiltrator close to the India-Pakistan border in the Samba region of Jammu & Kashmir.
The invader continued to advance towards the border fencing despite warnings from the BSF troops stationed in the Jammu sector, and they were able to stop him. The BSF released a statement saying, “In the early hours of June 1, 2023, the alert BSF troops noticed a suspicious movement of a person who crossed the IB from the Pakistan side in the Samba area.”
The BSF, which is tasked with policing the 3,323 km border between India and Pakistan, claimed that despite challenges from the troops, the invader continued to go closer to the border fencing.
“The troops fired on him and shot him dead. Further details are being ascertained,” the BSF added.
