British Deputy High Commissioner engages with differently-abled cricketers

British Deputy High Commissioner Caroline Rowett participated in a heartening display of sportsmanship and inclusivity by engaging with differently-abled cricketers in Chandigarh. The event took place at St. Stephen’s School, Sector 45, Chandigarh, on Sunday.
Rowett, known for her dedication to promoting inclusivity and diversity, joined the Chandigarh differently-abled cricket team in a friendly match despite adverse weather conditions. Undeterred by the rain, she commended the team’s unwavering spirit and passion for the sport, expressing her admiration on Twitter for their resilience and enthusiasm. Lakhbinder Singh, a prominent figure representing India in T-20 International matches, introduced Rowett to the talented members of the Differently-Abled Cricket team of Chandigarh. Witnessing their remarkable cricketing skills left her amazed and inspired.
In her expression of gratitude, Rowett extended her thanks to Cricket Coach Surinder ‘Bai Ji’ and the management of St. Stephen’s School, Chandigarh, for the opportunity to visit their cricket academy and interact with the players. She also took the time to meet with young cricketers from St. Stephen’s cricket academy, expressing excitement at their potential and wishing them success in their cricketing endeavors.
