Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, which debuted in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada on Friday, had a successful opening weekend in theatres all around the world. The Ayan Mukerji-directed film, which starred Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt together for the first time, debuted with a worldwide gross of $75 crore.
The movie’s producer, posted the update to Instagram with the remark, “Humbled… Grateful…but yet can’t control my excitement!” The post reads, “Day 1 worldwide box office revenue was 75 crore. Brahmastra, Part One. Shiva ji. Thank You”.
In both versions, it made between 35 and 36 crore at the box office in India on day one, according to Boxofficeindia.com. It now ranks second in Hindi for the highest non-holiday release, only behind Baahubali. According to the source, the Hindi version alone brought in between 32 and 33 crore net on the first day. The movie is expected to earn more than 200 crore in its first weekend worldwide, according to a different report from the portal.
Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni are among the cast members of the current 2D, 3D, and Imax 3D releases of Brahmastra, which was produced by Star Studios and Dharma Productions. SS Rajamouli, of RRR and Baahubali fame, is presenting the film in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed on Friday that the movie was shown on a total of 8,913 screens, including 5019 in India and around 3894 elsewhere. Additionally, the movie has a respectable number of weekend advance reservations.
