Born to fight terrorism, VDCs ready to take on drone threats in J&K

Jammu and Kashmir Police has once again started reactivating and weaponising Village Defence Committee (VDCs) in Jammu region amid ongoing threat from drones in the last few days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the political process by meeting all-party leaders of Jammu and Kashmir.

Police have started fresh training and guidance camps for the civilians and special training to the Village Defence Committee (VDCs) members of weapon handling and identifying the suspected drones in the border villages.
