Bold burglary: Family loses valuables as son departs for Delhi airport

In a shocking incident in the quaint village of Jandpur, located in the vicinity of Kharar, a family faced the harrowing experience of returning home to find their house ransacked after seeing off their son for a flight from Delhi airport. The miscreants made off with a substantial haul, including gold and silver jewelry, and a sizable sum of four lakh rupees in cash. The incident has sparked an immediate response from the local authorities, who have launched a thorough investigation into the matter.
The victim, identified as Ravinder Singh, filed a complaint at the Sadar Kharar police station, detailing the unfortunate events. Singh explained that the family had left for Delhi to accompany their son, who had a flight scheduled for Canada on the 5th of December. Upon their return the following day, they were met with a distressing scene – a broken lock and their belongings scattered throughout the house.
The stolen items include a gold set, two bangles, two rings, a gold chain, anklets, and a substantial amount of Rs 4 lakh in cash. What adds a perplexing twist to the case is the thieves’ calculated move to not only clean out the valuables but also abscond with the DVR of the CCTV cameras strategically placed in the residence. This deliberate act suggests a premeditated effort to erase any potential evidence of their identity.
Singh promptly reported the incident to the police, expressing his dismay at the audacity of the crime. Despite the setback, he provided the authorities with crucial information, highlighting the significance of his son’s imminent departure and the timeline of the incident.
In response to the complaint, the Sadar Kharar police have initiated a comprehensive investigation, including the examination of CCTV footage from neighboring areas.
