BJP Won’t Show Its Face After 25th in Poll-Bound Rajasthan says Ashok Gehlot

  1. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot took a dig at the BJP ahead of the state assembly elections, stating that the party is frustrated because it couldn’t topple the government in Rajasthan. Gehlot compared the BJP’s success in forming governments in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh through toppling strategies but highlighted their inability to do so in Rajasthan.

During a press conference in Jaipur, Gehlot commented on the BJP’s election campaigning and predicted their absence from the state after the November 25 elections. He also addressed the Mahadev App controversy in Chhattisgarh, accusing the BJP of conspiring against Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Gehlot criticized the central government for misusing agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), alleging that they are being employed to topple governments rather than focusing on economic offenses.

Gehlot emphasized the importance of these agencies in dealing with economic offenders and securing the country’s economy. He accused the BJP of using pressure tactics, including ED’s influence and income tax raids, to threaten Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and orchestrate government changes in states like Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

In response, the BJP has also made critical statements against the Congress, with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan asserting that the Gehlot government has negatively impacted Rajasthan over the past five years. The Rajasthan elections for 199 seats are scheduled for November 25, with results expected on December 3.
