BJP Uttarakhand cell triumphs in 40 plus tennis ball cricket contest

In the 40 plus tennis ball cricket tournament organized by Pauri Garhwal Ekta Manch, the BJP team from Chandigarh Uttarakhand Cell emerged victorious, securing the trophy with a 19-run lead over the cricket team of Garhwal Ramlila Mandal Electricity Board.

Bhupendra Sharma, the convenor of BJP Chandigarh Uttarakhand Cell, graced the event as the chief guest, receiving a warm welcome from forum officials. Following the match, Sharma presented the winning team with the designated cash prize and trophy.

During the celebration, Bhupendra Sharma emphasized that the cricket match, organized by the platform, showcased the ageless nature of the game, with enthusiastic participation from players of all ages. He highlighted the manifold benefits of sports, stating that it enhances physical, mental, and social well-being.

Sharma underscored the significance of sports, emphasizing its role in providing essential lessons in morality, discipline, and restraint. He stressed the importance of sports in addressing contemporary issues such as drug addiction, urging organizers to continue hosting such sports competitions regularly.
