BJP is taking every necessary step to win all the 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana and in this sequence; it is adjusting the leaders who have been angry with the party for the last 4-5 years. A strategy is being worked out to prevent any loss due to factionalism or infighting in the elections.
Along with the new team of BJP State President Nayab Saini, which was announced 10 days ago, many leaders have been given responsibilities in the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). These are all those leaders whose party had denied tickets in the 2019 assembly elections and since then they were in a way marginalized. These include the names of former Industries Minister Vipul Goyal, former Deputy Speaker Santosh Yadav and former MLA Randhir Singh Kapriwas.
Most of these leaders are against the current Gurugram MP and Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh. In such a situation, his political rehabilitation is like a shock for Rao Inderjit camp.
BJP, which got full majority on its own in Haryana for the first time in 2014, entered the 2019 assembly elections with the slogan of ‘crossing 75’ and for this canceled the tickets of many leaders in Ahirwal i.e. Southern Haryana. Of these, two names were the most shocking. The first name was that of Rao Narbir Singh, the sitting MLA of Badshahpur seat in Gurugram district and the then cabinet minister, and the second name was that of Vipul Goyal, who hails from Faridabad.
In 2019, the party had also canceled the ticket of Ateli MLA Santosh Yadav, who was the Deputy Speaker at that time, and Randhir Singh Kapriwas from Rewari.
Narbir Singh, Santosh Yadav and Randhir Singh Kapriwas have been holding the current BJP MP from Gurugram and Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh responsible for their tickets being canceled.
Whereas Vipul Goyal considers Faridabad’s sitting MP and Union Minister Krishnapal Gurjar as the reason behind his ticket being canceled. These four leaders still have good influence in their respective areas.
Narbir Singh, Santosh Yadav and Vipul Goyal remained silent after the ticket was cut, but Randhir Singh Kapriwas rebelled and contested the election as an independent candidate and secured 37 thousand votes. Result- Due to their rebellion, BJP lost the Rewari seat and Congress’s Chiranjeev Rao won.
BJP suspended Kapriwas from the party for 6 years. After 2019, Randhir Singh was never seen on the BJP platform, but he keeps meeting senior party leaders.
Vipul Goyal and Santosh Yadav have got the post of vice president in Naib Saini’s team. All these leaders are counted in the opposition group of Rao Inderjit. BJP is trying to reunite all these leaders with the party before the Lok Sabha elections so that there is no scope for any loss in the elections.
Former minister Rao Narbir Singh has once again announced to contest elections from Badshahpur seat of Gurugram. He has also started touring the area. On the other hand, Mukesh Kapriwas is keen to contest elections from Rewari and Santosh Yadav is keen to contest elections from Ateli.
After the core committee meeting of BJP held recently, it has almost been decided that after the Lok Sabha elections, the assembly elections will be held on time. In such a situation, the party has given the task to all the leaders willing to contest the assembly elections to ensure the party’s victory in the Lok Sabha elections.
