BJP stages protest in Bihar, slams CM Nitish for backstabbing

The Bharatiya Janata Party has now been forced to plan a sit-in protest on Wednesday before Nitish Kumar’s swearing-in as the state’s chief minister as a result of a significant political shift in Bihar that shocked the party. The Janata Dal (United) chief minister will take the oath of office on Wednesday for the eighth time.

In Patna, BJP leaders could be seen shouting “Nitish Kumar haye haye” and “Nitish Kumar murdabad” as Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav, who will serve as his deputy, get ready to swear in the new “Mahagathbandhan” government at 2 o’clock

The Bihar BJP president, Sanjay Jaiswal, Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, and Sushil  K, headlined the protest.

As the Janata Dal (United) left the National Democratic Alliance on Tuesday, Nitish Kumar announced his resignation as chief minister of Bihar. The realignment came to a logical conclusion with the JD(U) joining forces with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, and Left parties for the Grand Alliance.

The BJP has slammed Nitish of “backstabbing” the party and the will of the people and attributed his resignation to his desire to become prime minister.

The largest party in the Bihar assembly, the RJD, is predicted to nominate 20 of the about 35 ministers in the new Mahagathbandhan cabinet, while the JD(U) is anticipated to keep 11 to 13 of its members.
