BJP emphasises on unity for Rajasthan by-elections

Ahead of the by elections in Rajasthan the BJP is engaged in making strategies and preparing a roadmap to conquer all the seven seats in Rajasthan.
Hindutva has emerged as a crucial agenda for gaining an advantage, and the BJP can further amplify this by promoting the slogan If you are divided, you will be divided,» introduced by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This slogan has been embraced by key leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During a rally in Maharashtra, Modi emphasised unity while referencing this slogan. Just a month ago, in Agra, Yogi highlighted the example of Bangladesh, urging people to remain united to avoid division. He reiterated this message during the Haryana elections, where his speeches focused on the same theme. The party secured victories in all constituencies where Yogi campaigned, boosting the party›s morale significantly.
In the Lok Sabha elections, the opposition had tried to divide Hindus into upper and backward castes by playing the caste card. To counter this caste card of the opposition, Yogi again sharpened the issue of Hindutva by saying ‹If you are divided, you will be cut›. Initially, there was confusion in the party due to Yogi›s new slogan, but later everyone accepted the slogan. In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP had suffered a big setback in Rajasthan after Uttar Pradesh. BJP lost 11 out of 25 seats. The main reason for the defeat was caste politics. Jat, Gurjar and Meena communities did not vote for BJP. Congress›s social engineering and caste politics proved effective. Before the results of Haryana elections came out, Congress was looking in a better position than BJP in Rajasthan, but now the situation seems to be changing.
Haryana›s victory has given a lot of oxygen to BJP. The workers from the centre to the states have been recharged. There is disappointment among Congressmen due to the victory turning into defeat in the neighbouring state. ‹Weak in caste equations, hence Hindutva is the main agenda.

The party secured victories in all constituencies where Yogi campaigned, boosting the party›s morale significantly.

BJP strategists know that they are weak in caste equations. In such a situation, Hindutva is the only agenda in which all the angry castes can vote unitedly. By-elections are to be held on seven seats in Rajasthan. Elections will be held on two seats due to the death of MLAs, while on five seats there are vacant seats due to resignation of MLAs elected to the Lok Sabha. Among these, the seats of Deoli Uniara, Dausa, Jhunjhunu and Ramgarh belonged to the Congress. Chaurasi and Khinvsar belonged to the Congress allies. The only seat of BJP is Salumbhar. Now, the election of these seven seats is also important for BJP, because it will be able to answer the defeat in the Lok Sabha. There are indications that the high command has reached a broad consensus for all the seven seats. The party will announce the names as soon as the election is announced.
The Election Commission can announce the dates anytime in the coming days.
