BJP candidate Satish Poonia files nomination from Amer

BJP’s former state president and present candidate from Amer, Dr Satish Poonia, filed his nomination on Thursday at the Amer SDM office. A public meeting was held at Delhi Road Kunda Tiraha. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also attended the meeting and addressed the gathering.
Satish Poonia reached the Amer SDM office from Kunda Tiraha via a rally. Thousands of supporters and BJP workers participated in the rally. Petals were showered on Poonia at various places on the way from Kunda to the SDM office. A large number of party workers and the general public were seen chanting slogans around the SDM office.
After filing his nomination, Satish Poonia appealed to the business community for support. He said, “The election campaign in Rajasthan has begun. I am confident that the government in Rajasthan will change through public opinion. Public opinion is against the Congress and in favour of the BJP. In Rajasthan, there is not just an anti-incumbency wave but also public anger on the streets. Paper leaks, corruption, promises not being fulfilled, farmer protests and gold and money being found in government offices confirm that Rajasthan has become one of the most corrupt states. Ram Navami is banned, and permission is given to the PFI. Kanhaiya Lal’s throat is slit, and the law and order situation is deteriorating. There are continuous incidents of murder and rape.”
