Bilkis Bano case: Supreme Court to hear plea on 9 May

The Supreme Court adjourns hearing on release of Bilkis Bano convicts, next hearing will be on 9 May. In the next hearing, the Supreme Court will issue directions regarding the final hearing. In this case, the accused who have not yet filed their reply are given two week time to file their affidavits. On this, the Gujarat and the Central government said,”We are not claiming for any privilege in this matter.”

In fact, claiming privilege in the last hearing, the Center and Gujarat government said that they wanted to file a review petition on the Supreme Court’s decision to seek release documents.On this, the Supreme Court had asked to tell its stand today.
