Bihar Health Ministry transfers halted : Trouble in CM-Dy CM ‘paradise’

In an unprecedented turn of events within the Bihar administration, a massive reshuffle involving more than 500 employees in the Health Ministry, orchestrated under the stewardship of Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, was abruptly halted. The sequence of events has sparked speculations regarding the existing power dynamics in Bihar’s political landscape.
The Ministry of Health, one of the many crucial departments led by Yadav, approved the transfers while he was out of the country. The transfer list, published in the evening, encompassed personnel ranging from X-ray technicians and pharmacists to clerks and lab technicians. However, by the next morning, the decision had been reversed, reportedly on the orders of Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar.
Pratyay Amrit, the Principal Secretary of the Health Department, was the driving force behind the cancellation. Known as a highly regarded officer within Kumar’s administration, his intervention in the matter has been perceived as a strategic move by Kumar to maintain control over the Health Ministry’s operations.
It is worth noting that such large-scale changes within the department are unlikely to have taken place without Yadav’s consent, as he has been known for his unannounced visits and close monitoring of the Health
