Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Sunday in the 100th episode of its monthly radio programme “Mann Ki Baat” that the gender ratio has improved in Haryana as a consequence of numerous programmes including “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” and “Selfie With Daughter.”
The ‘Selfie With Daughter’ campaign, which was started by Sunil Jaglan of Haryana, is another initiative that the prime minister praised, claiming that it highlights the value of having a daughter in one’s life.
“I started the campaign ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ from Haryana itself. The ‘Selfie with Daughter’ campaign influenced me a lot and I mentioned it in my episode. Soon this ‘Selfie with Daughter’ campaign turned into a global campaign. The motive of this campaign was to make people understand the importance of a daughter in one’s life”, the PM said.
PM Modi then also thanked the activist Sunil Jaglan for bringing the ‘Selfie with Daughter’ campaign to life and making it a success in the spirit of ‘Beti-Padhao, Beti-Bachao.’
