Bengaluru Metro sets record breaking ridership

Namma Metro, Bengaluru’s public transit metro train network, has seen a significant increase in passenger numbers with the start of full train services on the whole purple line. This increase culminated in a historic achievement last Wednesday, when over 7 lakh passengers rode the metro in a single day. The entire operationalization of the Purple line, which began earlier this week, has played a critical role in increasing Namma Metro ridership. Recognizing this remarkable achievement, PC Mohan, Member of Parliament for Bengaluru Central, expressed his delight, saying, “Congratulations to Bangalore and the 7,01,455 passengers who chose our Metro on Wednesday, a resounding endorsement of our city’s unwavering commitment to sustainable urban mobility.”
