In a startling occurrence, a hotel housekeeper in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, was observed peering into a female guest’s bathroom as she was taking a shower. The incident happened on September 30. The accused has now been detained by police.
The accused has been identified as Pawalus Kheria, a Bellandur resident who is originally from West Bengal. The victim, who was 22 years old, had been residing in the Bellandur hotel since September 28 with her parents.
The victim reported seeing someone peering at her through the ventilator while she was taking a bath at about 9 a.m. in her police complaint. According to a Times of India article, the girl claimed she left right away and told her parents.
The victim just finished her engineering degree and was hired by an IT company. The girl travelled to Bengaluru to work for the business.
The victim thinks the defendant may have taken a video of her in the restroom. Kheria was identified when staff members were questioned after the girl complained to hotel management about the incident.

The situation came to light after a student reported the cafeteria employees to Powai police for allegedly peeping inside the dormitory restroom.
