BCCI Chairman, Chetan Sharma resigns from post after Zee News sting operation

The Chairman of National Selection Committee of BCCI, Chetan Sharma resigned from his post, the Board’s treasure, Ashish Shelar, informed on Friday, February 17, 2023. Sharma sent his resignation to the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket, Jay Shah.

His resignation has been accepted by the Board. This resignation comes days after Sharma revealed behind the talks about team selection and stirred up a controversy after he made startling allegations against batter Virat Kohli and his alleged feud with former Board president Sourav Ganguly to Zee News during a sting operation which aired on Tuesday.

Sharma also alleged that the players in the Indian men’s team use injections to boost their return to international cricket and they often call up doctors on their own to get injected.
