After the arrest of two suspected Al-Qaeda terrorists in Lucknow, another big revelation has emerged during investigation. A few days ago, the Uttar Pradesh ATS had arrested two terrorists Minhaj Ahmed and Naseeruddin in Lucknow. Sources told The Daily Guardian that the ATS has got a diary from Minhaj, in which much important information has also been found. Many things have been written in code language, which the ATS is engaged in decoding; he used to talk to his colleagues through Telegram app. Sources claim that messages were decoded on Telegram.
Sources said that during the interrogation conducted on Monday night, both remained silent on most questions. Sources said that it may be possible that there are many youths of the state in contact with Omar Halmandi, who is operating the Indian subcontinent module of Al Qaeda from the Pakistan-Afghanistan border area. This is the reason that after the capture of both the terrorists, a high alert has been issued regarding security of other major places of the state, including Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura.
Information is also being obtained about the places from where Minhaj and his associates had bought the explosive material. All those people who had provided explosives and weapons are being identified. The teams have made preparations to recover more items by marking everyone through Minhaj. According to sources, the pistol recovered from Minhaj’s house was provided by someone from Kanpur. The ATS team has gathered information about him.
Sources also said that lakhs of rupees were transferred by Minhaj to Tauheed of Jammu and Kashmir in his account. Information is being obtained about those accounts. Along with this, complete details and mobile details about Tauheed are being searched. At the behest of Minhaj, the public service centre has to be verified from where the money was deposited in the account provided by Tauheed.
ADG (Law and Order), Uttar Pradesh, Prashant Kumar had told reporters on Sunday, “UP ATS has uncovered a big terror module. The team has arrested two terrorists linked with Al Qaeda’s Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind.” The suspects were plotting terror attacks across Uttar Pradesh ahead of August 15 (Independence Day),.
