Atiq murder case: Judicial committee asks for additional time to complete investigation

The judicial committee formed by the UP government wrote a letter to the UP government seeking some more time to complete investigation.

The member of the judicial committee sought additional time from the UP government to complete the investigation process. The committee wrote in the letter that the investigation has not been completed till May 24. The committee has written in its letter that it is yet to record the statements of 45 additional witnesses in this case.

Along with this, the lawyers of the committee and the side of the state government have to be heard. The judicial committee probing the matter has sought additional time from the state government to investigate the matter.

In fact, the UP government had constituted a judicial commission to investigate the murder of Mafia Atiq and Ashraf, which was asked to complete the investigation within 3 months.
