At least 1 killed, 10 injured due to floods in Afghanistan

At least one person was killed and more than 10 others were injured in the Bangi district of Afghanistan’s Takhar province amid heavy rains and floods, Khama Press reported, citing local officials.

The province reported both financial and human losses from the natural disaster. Many homes were destroyed, and thousands of acres of agricultural land were destroyed by flash floods. Torrential rains, floods, earthquakes, and avalanches have resulted in more than 21 fatalities and nearly 100 injuries over the past two weeks, Khama Press reported, citing local officials.

On the other hand, more than 2625 residential houses were damaged, hundreds of animals were killed, and around 30,000 acres of agriculture were destroyed due to natural calamities across the country.
