]Haryana Legislative Assembly Speaker Gyanchand Gupta presided over a Janata Darbar, addressing various concerns raised by the public. The event, held at Field Hostel in Sector 6, aimed to provide on-the-spot solutions to individual and group issues.

During the Janata Darbar, concerns were raised about a road caving in due to water flow in Beed Ghaggar. Although the work was incomplete, people demanded its swift completion. Responding promptly, the Assembly Speaker instructed immediate action on the matter. Additionally, issues related to water from villages like Barwala, Bataur, and Bhagwanpur entering Naya Gaon from the Tangri river were discussed. The Speaker directed the executive engineer to assess the situation with the residents, prepare an estimate for constructing a drain, and assured immediate funds from his discretionary fund for the project.

One complaint raised in court involved the Urban Development Authority auctioning a plot for a stilt 4 house in MDC but subsequently permitting construction only up to stilt 3. The Assembly Speaker urged officials to find a resolution through dialogue. He emphasized the need to expedite the issuance of vehicle numbers by the license branch and address concerns promptly.

Expressing concern about delays in registration by the Pharmacy Department, the Speaker took strict cognizance and directed immediate communication of forthcoming actions. More than 50 people had their grievances heard during the Janata Darbar, and the Speaker issued instructions for their prompt resolution.

Highlighting ongoing efforts during the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the Speaker mentioned the departments’ work in villages, including the creation of identity cards, PPPR, property tax, BPL cards, and Ayushman Bharat scheme cards. He noted that under the PPP scheme, a separate process for families separated from collectively made cards had commenced. The Speaker announced plans for the second phase of the initiative, focusing on corporation villages in urban areas, where people’s problems would be addressed on the spot.

Furthermore, demands for constructing public toilets in various villages were acknowledged, with the Speaker affirming that action would be taken to identify suitable land and initiate construction in areas lacking public facilities. The Janata Darbar was attended by several senior BJP leaders, including MC Satbir Chaudhary, MC Rakesh Valmiki, former chairman Ashok Sharma, and Narendra Lubana.
