Assam: Three wild elephants die of electrocution in Kamrup

According to officials, three elephants electrocuted in the Kamrup district on Friday died.
Under the supervision of the Rani forest range office, the incident happened in the Panichanda region.
Divisional Forest Officer for the Kamrup East division, Rohini Saikia, confirmed the event.

Three elephants reportedly came into touch with an electric wire when a herd of wild elephants entered the area from a nearby jungle in quest of food.
Forestry officers arrived on the scene immediately after the event.
