Police neutralised an infiltrator in the Saidpora forward area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday.
Two rifles, ammunition, and currency notes have also been recovered from the encounter site, police said. “On the basis of a specific input generated by Kupwara police, a joint Army-Police team intercepted an infiltrating group in the Saidpora forward area the previous night.””The joint team has neutralised one infiltrator,” the Kashmir Zone police said in a tweet.
The search for more such infiltrators in the area is still underway, the police said.
