The Anti-Narcotics Cell team has apprehended a drug trafficker, seizing 1.36 kg of cannabis from the suspect’s possession. The arrested individual has been identified as Sunil Kumar, a resident of Khadak Mangoli, Panchkula. The police made the arrest under the jurisdiction of the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act.
Bhim Singh, the Incharge of the Anti-Narcotics Cell, stated that the accused, Sunil Kumar, was apprehended after filing a case under the NDPS Act. Following his arrest, the accused was remanded to police custody for two days by presenting him in court. Further questioning of the accused will be conducted to gather more information.
Singh mentioned that efforts are underway to apprehend other suspects involved in the case, and they will be arrested soon. Stringent action will be taken against those engaged in the drug trade to create a drug-free society.
