Anant Ambani, Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebrations begin with ‘anna seva’

Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s son, Anant Ambani, is preparing to marry Radhika Merchant, marking the initiation of their pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar. Recently, the couple participated in the long-standing tradition of Anna Seva, a practice initiated by the Ambani family. Adhering to traditional attire, Radhika and Anant adorned themselves for the occasion.

Radhika looked stunning in a multi-coloured salwar-kameez set, while Anant complemented her in red silk-kurta pants paired with a matching embroidered Nehru jacket. Both Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani, accompanied by their family members, engaged in the Anna Seva tradition, a ceremony aimed at benefiting the local community.

The Anna Seva event, catering to 51,000 local residents, will extend over the next few days in villages in and around Jamnagar. The traditional Gujarati dinner items were served during this ceremony. Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, and Radhika’s parents actively participated in serving food to the community.

Explaining the choice of Jamnagar as the wedding location, Anant Ambani stated, “I have grown up here, and it’s my good fortune that we could plan the celebration here. This is my dadi’s janmbhoomi and my dada and papa’s karmbhoomi (working place). And this is my home. My father often says that this is my dada’s sasural (in-laws’ house), and hence we are celebrating here. I also believe I am from Jamnagar.”

A netizen on social media shared their appreciation for the cultural practices of the Ambani family, specifically highlighting the construction of around 14 temples leading up to Anant Ambani’s wedding. The user praised the family’s deep religious commitment, stating, “This shows how much faith this family has in God!”
