Amit Shah Rules Out Government Employment for stone pelters, terror supporters

Union Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a stern message on Monday, affirming that individuals with a history of stone pelting and any links to terrorism will be ineligible for government jobs in Jammu and Kashmir. Responding to discussions on the J&K Reservation (Amendment) Bill and J&K Re-organisation Bill 2023 in the Rajya Sabha, Shah emphasized that there will be no leniency towards terrorists and their sympathizers.
How ever, shah later said that the government will welcome Kashmiri youth bearing arms if they choose to lay down their weapons and join mainstream

Shah declared that the government is in the process of dismissing employees found to have links with terrorism. He outlined the Centre’s approach, stating that, like in the northeast, the government will welcome Kashmiri youth bearing arms if they choose to lay down their weapons and join mainstream activities.
The Home Minister unveiled plans for a terrorist-specific jail in J&K, with an allocated budget of Rs 130 Crore. This facility will exclusively house terrorists, equipped with advanced security measures such as jammers to prevent security breaches.
Highlighting the broader perspective, Shah announced the initiation of a “zero terror and complete area domination” plan, aiming to make Kashmir free from terrorism. He mentioned the establishment of peace, progress, and development in the region. Referring to the recent Supreme Court verdict on Article 370, Shah stated that those who misled the people of J&K with the belief that Article 370 was temporary must be feeling ashamed now. He invoked the memory of Shyama Prasad Mukherji, expressing the belief that Mukherji and others who sacrificed for the nation are now resting in peace after the SC verdict.
Shah further highlighted positive developments in J&K, such as the open Muharram procession after 30 years, the reopening of theaters, and the increasing number of tourists staying in Kashmiri homes. He concluded that the dawn of peace, prosperity, and development has begun in Jammu and Kashmir.
