As the New Year begins, the city of Jaipur is witnessing an influx of both domestic and international tourists. The capital city has been resonating with the voices of travelers for the past few days. The globally renowned Amer Fort has become the top choice for tourists coming to Jaipur. Hawa Mahal follows closely as the second preference. In the last week, Amer Fort welcomed 1.88 lakh visitors from across the country and around the world, while Hawa Mahal attracted 85,000 tourists. Additionally, around 1500 tourists explored the delights of Isarlat and Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh.
80% tourists from other states:
Thousands of people from Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and several other states flocked to Jaipur to celebrate the New Year. Booking for more than 2500 hotels in the city is at full capacity. Eighty percent of the guests staying in these hotels are from outside the state. Special arrangements have been made in hotels to cater to the needs of the guests.
Employment for 32 people from one tourist:
Tourism-related activities in Jaipur are thriving during this peak season. Hotels, restaurants, and roadside eateries are flourishing due to the presence of tourists. The city’s economy is reaching new heights thanks to tourism. According to tourism experts, one tourist visiting the city provides employment for 32 people.
Booking rush at Palace on Wheels:
The Palace on Wheels, a luxury train in Jaipur, has been witnessing a booking rush since the beginning of the tourism season. For the first time, the Palace on Wheels received 77 passengers, surpassing the previous record of 50 passengers per trip. The Director of the train, Pradeep Bohra, mentioned the growing craze among foreigners for Jaisalmer. Travelers are showing keen interest in witnessing the grandeur of the Sam Sand Dunes. Bookings for every trip of the train during January are already filled with 80 passengers.
