Amidst the speculations pertaining to holding the simultaneous conduct of parliamentary and assembly elections, all the political parties are busy in making their political strategy along with mulling on every possible strategy to win the battle. Meanwhile, the stalwarts from all factions are on toes to counter other leaders within as well as our side the party over the battle of dominance ahead of polls. The Saffron BJP and the Main Opposition Congress are eyeball to eyeball in Karnal and Rohtak, the home turf of the Chief Minister Manohar Lal and the Leader of Opposition, Bhupender Singh Hooda respectively. In this series, the BJP had come up with organizational appointments and as a part of strategy to corner Hooda in his bastion, several party stalwarts were given berths in the organizational set up. To weaken Hooda in his home turf Rohtak , the BJP has announced its new executive in the state in which 4 officials from Rohtak alone have been included in the state executive.

Along with Hooda, BJP also seems to be completely focused on Rohtak and its surrounding districts in view of the upcoming polls. It is pertinent to mention that Rohtak and its adjoining districts are the home turf of former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda.as he enjoys the widespread acceptability among all sections of the society. During the tenure of former state BJP chief OP Dhankhar, only two of the party leaders from Rohtak could make it in the organizational set up then while contrary to this, after the removal of Dhankar from the chair, the party came up with amendments in terms of political strategy in the new executive of BJP as Satish Nandal, State General Secretary Phanindranath Sharma, State Secretary Renu Dabla and Treasurer Ajay Bansal have been given the responsibility of the post of State Vice President as a part of new strategy.

On the lines of the BJP, the Congress is also working on a strategy to counter the BJP in the assembly seats dominated by it. Political analyst are of the opinion that following the tremendous support received for Bharat Jodo Yatra, Vipaksh Aapke Samaksh, Hath Se Hath Jodo campaign and Jan Aakrosh rallies, Haryana Congress is leaving no stone unturned to take mileage from aforesaid program and a as part of this, the Congress has announced to start ‘Ghar-Ghar Congress’ campaign on the occasion of New Year.

A resolution was passed to vote out the BJP-JJP coalition government at a Worker’s Meeting organised in Karnal on New Year. Likewise BJP, the Congress and the party bigwigs are eyeing Karnal seat, the bastion of the Chief Minister Manohar Lal. As a part of strategy to strengthen its position, Bhupendra Singh Hooda conducted a workers’ conference in Karnal on January 1, 2024 which led to talks in political corridors as being considered a reaction to BJP’S preparations in Rohtak. Stepping up a series of efforts to oust the saffron BJP-JJP government in Haryana, the Congress announced a slew of pre-polls promises including implementation of Rs 6000 old age pension, 300 unit free electricity along with the restoration of OPS.

Earlier, Manish Grover and Renu Dabla were included in the state executive in which both were given the responsibility of State Vice President and of State Secretary respectively. Notably, Satish Nandal has contested elections against Bhupendra Singh Hooda unsuccessfully from Garhi-Sampla-Kiloi constituency. Although Bhupendra Singh Hooda had secured 97755 votes in this election, Satish Nandal could get only 39443 votes. In wake of the preparations visible and being made by the ruling BJP, Bhupendra Singh Hooda also has full focus to save his bastion and his stronghold.

Hooda also reached Rohtak on New Year during his tour program. Earlier, on December 13, 24 and 25, Hooda had met his workers in Rohtak to strengthen his stronghold. Earlier, Hooda had conducted the rallies and workers’ meetings in Sirsa and Bhiwani-Mahendergarh parliamentary seats, the bastion of Kumari Selja and Kiran Chaudhary respectively, arch rivals within the party and a part of the SRK faction. Hooda is also trying to politically strengthen himself in the Sirsa-Fatehabad-Hisar-Jind belt dominated mostly by Jats so far, to counter BJP in the upcoming elections.
