NEW DELHI: Ahead of the release of his upcoming film, ‘Bell Bottom’, Akshay Kumar visited London. He was in quarantine first, that he finished recently. As Akshay stepped out to take a tour of the city, the greenery reminded him of his days in Ratlam.
Akshay tweeted, “Just finished my quarantine in London today and stepped out for some fresh air. One look around and I was immediately transported to Ratlam which I remember visiting as a child during my summer vacations. Anywhere I’d see, I could see green. Missing Ratlam ki galiyaan (the streets of Ratlam) (sic).”
Akshay’s ‘Bell Bottom’ is the first big-budget Bollywood film that is releasing in theatres after the second wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Directed by Ranjit M Tewari, Bell Bottom will release in theatres in 3D on 19 August. The film is based on a true story of plane hijacks that shook India in the 80s. Akshay plays the lead role of a RAW agent while Vaani Kapoor plays his wife. Lara Dutta will portray former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who was in power at that time. Huma Qureshi also plays a pivotal role in the film.
