A case of rape has come to light in Ajmer. The accused constable allegedly kidnapped, intimidated, and committed the crime. The woman alleges that the accused constable threatened to harm her family with goons in connection with a theft case.
The police reported that a woman residing in the Civil Lines area filed a complaint. In her complaint, the woman stated that some time ago, she met Constable Himmat Kaushik, who is currently serving in the police department.
During the conversation, Constable Himmat Kaushik took her number. Later, he called her, creating pressure to talk. When the woman refused to talk, Constable Himmat Kaushik allegedly forced her to talk by showing the authority of the police. When the woman told her father and brother about the incident, the family called her to take action. The accused police constable apologised in writing three or four times.
The woman alleges that in October 2023, she was going to Bagheshwar Dham. The accused constable got to know about it and followed her to the roadside bus stand. After that, he forcibly took her to his village in a car, threatening her. There, he locked her in a room and committed rape forcibly. Later, the accused constable scared her by showing the fear of the police, claiming a false marriage certificate.
The accused continued to commit sexual assault by threatening her that he would harm her family. The victim managed to escape, however, she was continuously being threatened by the accused over the phone.
