Additional Deputy Commissioner reviews arrangements for India vs Australia One Day Cricket Match

A high-level meeting to review the arrangements for the India vs. Australia one day cricket match scheduled on September 22 at PCA Stadium Mohali was held by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Viraj S Tidke, today. Directing the officials to exercise full vigilance, he particularly asked the police to make sure about the foolproof security arrangements.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned officials to make adequate arrangements for road cleanliness, sewage, lights, reflectors, and parking. He said that a shuttle service will be ar- ranged for the convenience of people coming to watch the match from the Forest Bhawan. On that day, Apni Mandi/Kisan Mandi in Sec- tor 68 will remain closed.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner directed the officials not to allow any negligence in the arrangements for the cricket match. He asked the police officials to arrange security at all points He also directed to maintain law and order during the matches and deal strictly with any kind of hooligan- ism. He also asked the police to streamline the traffic and provide sufficient help to the people while commuting. He said that maintaining law and order should be the main priority on this occasion.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner also instructed the officials related to the fire brigade to make necessary arrangements at the spot. He also asked the health department officials to deploy medical teams at the match venue so that medical assistance can be provided on the spot in case of any untoward incident.

During the meeting, SDM Mohali Chandra Jyoti Singh, Assistant Commissioner Harjot Kaur, Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation Mrs. Kiran Sharma, and officials of various departments were present.
