Abdul Bari Salmani today took charge as the Chairman of Punjab Minorities Commission in the presence of Punjab Revenue Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa and Local Government Minister Balkar Singh.
Speaking on the occasion at Van Bhawan, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Revenue Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa said that the Punjab government is bringing forward honest, fair and forward-thinking leaders of the state to serve the people. Under the same thinking, an honest leader, Abdul Bari Salmani, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Minorities Commission. Congratulating Abdul Bari Salmani, Jimpa expressed that Salmani would ensure the welfare of minorities and extend various government schemes to them. He himself assured to give full support to Salmani.
Abdul Bari Salmani expressed that he will fulfill the responsibility assigned to him with full sincerity and diligence.It may be mentioned that Abdul Bari Salman, resident of Jalandhar, has earned a good reputation in social service. Budhlada MLA Budh Ram, Punjab Marketing Board Chairman Harchand Singh Barsat, Container and Warehouse, Punjab Chairperson Rajwinder Kaur Thiara and Punjab Genco Chairman Navjot Singh were also present on this occasion.
