Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs on Friday staged a ‘dharna’ outside the Punjab Assembly, demanding that Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh should immediately convene an all-party meeting, in which representatives of farmer organizations, farmers, farm experts and other stakeholders should be invited.
AAP MLAs said that the special Vidhan Sabha session should be convened before 15 October so that the farmers and other all sections could be saved from ruin. Led by Deputy Leader of Opposition Sarabjit Kaur Manuke, the ‘dharna’ was addressed among others by Prof Baljinder Kaur, Manjit Singh Bilaspur, Kulwant Singh Pandori, Master Baldev Singh (all MLAs).
