The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released ‘Modi Hatao Desh Bachao’ posters in 11 languages in the national capital on Tuesday.
The AAP held a large public meeting at Jantar Mantar on March 23 under the banner ‘Modi Hatao Desh Bachao,’ which was addressed by AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann. During the meeting, Gopal Rai, the Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi state convenor, announced that on 30 March, the Aam Aadmi Party would put up posters reading ‘Modi Hatao Desh Bachao’ across the country.
The posters have been released in Gujarati, Telugu, Bengali, Oriya, Kannada, Malayalam, and Marathi, in addition to Hindi, Urdu, English, and Punjabi.
Earlier on 22 March, Special CP Deependra Pathak reveals that the Delhi Police had registered over 100 FIRs and arrested six people for posting objectionable posters, including those critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, throughout the city.
According to the allegations, posters with the caption “Modi Hatao Desh Bachao” were seen in some parts of Delhi. The posters, however, made no mention of the printing press or the publisher. The Delhi Police jumped into action and launched an investigation.
According to the police, the FIR was filed in various districts throughout the city under sections of the Printing Press Act and the Defacement of Property Act.
