AAP Raises Concerns Over ‘poor state’ of Education and Health in Haryana

On the arrival of the New Year, the Aam Aadmi Party distributed posters door-to-door and distributed New Year cards throughout the city, aiming to raise awareness of the party’s policies. Surendra Rathi, Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker and National Executive Council member, emphasized the need to inform the people about the dire state of affairs in Haryana.

He pointed out the poor condition of the state’s education system under the Khattar government, citing the existence of 30 thousand vacant teaching positions, 1585 schools without toilets, 131 schools lacking drinking water facilities, 236 schools without electricity connections, and a shortage of 8240 classrooms.

Rathi also highlighted challenges in the field of medicine, stating that the ongoing conflict between the Chief Minister and the Health Minister is leading to doctors not being heard, resulting in a strike by doctors. According to the NCRB report, he mentioned a disturbing increase in suicides among people suffering from drug addiction in 2022 compared to 2021, attributing it to the lack of employment opportunities.

He criticized the Khattar government for failing to provide employment to the youth, mentioning more than 30 leaked exam papers in the past 9 years. Rathi expressed concerns about the widespread drug trade in Haryana and the challenges faced by farmers due to the government’s policies, including issues related to crop sales, flood compensation, and cultivation near Yamuna districts. In addition, he accused the BJP government of doubling farmers’ debt instead of increasing their income.

Present at the event were Minority Cell President Shahabaddin, Vyapar Mandal President KJB Dhariwal, Atul Kumar, Vinod Kumar, Dharamveer, Raghbir, broker Deepak Kumar, Ravinder Khairwal, Karan Thakur, Shyamlal, Rajbir, broker Suresh Garg, Satywan, and others.
