A recent survey of governance and development in the state, conducted by NewsX with the Gujarat Assembly Elections 2022 approaching in less than a month, highlights the genuine political situation of the population and examines the much-touted Gujarat model.
The survey questioned 1200 people over issues such as the BJP’s disapproval of nominating a handful of MLAs and the probability of the Aam Aadmi Party securing seats. In a survey of 1200 people, 25.7% expressed rage for the MLAs in power.
11.11% of people believed the Aam Aadmi Party to be a strong opponent of the ruling BJP, whereas 64.72% disagreed. On questioning the probability of the India National Congress winning the polls, 16.67% people agreed that it would be a strong contender, while 68.61% said it would lose.
Questioned about PM Modi’s impact on the voters’ inclination for the BJP, 6.94% of people believed it to be a negligible element, whereas 81.39% of people considered it to be an important element.
