In a sharp rebuke on Monday, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray expressed disapproval of CM Ekanth Shinde’s delegation size for the Davos World Economic Forum. Thackeray highlighted that while 10 members received clearances from the Ministry of External Affairs and Finance Ministry for Davos to finalize Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), the state is dispatching a 50-member delegation.
“Why does the CM need one personal secretary, one personal assistant, seven officers on special duty (OSDs), five non-post holders, three PROs, and OSD of a deputy CM when the latter himself isn’t present? A current MP and a former MP are also going… earlier traitors were taken to Surat and Guwahati… now if people betray, they will be taken to Davos…,” he stated. Thackeray added that they will explore legal options to investigate this excessive spending.
