The online services initiated by the Haryana Police for public convenience are yielding positive outcomes. Feedback indicates that over 99 percent of individuals are content with the online services, including passport applications, verification of tenants and domestic helpers, and police clearance certificates. Moreover, the satisfaction rate concerning complaint resolutions within police stations has risen from its previous level to 70 percent.

Director General of Police, Shatrujeet Kapur, affirmed that the Police Department is diligently working to deliver public facilities and services to the people of Haryana in a fair and transparent manner. A dedicated feedback cell has been established to promptly and impartially address complaints received in police stations. The complainant’s feedback on police actions is collected through phone calls made by the feedback cell. If the complainant expresses dissatisfaction, the reasons for their dissatisfaction are sought. All calls are recorded to ensure transparency in the process.

Additionally, a senior officer oversees the feedback cell, ensuring its functionality is evaluated through random calls to complainants. The feedback cell was established in September. At that time, the state’s satisfaction rate stood at approximately 67 percent, a figure that has since risen to 70 percent.

In a related development, 14 services related to arms licenses have been made accessible online by the Haryana Police to enhance administrative efficiency and transparency. Applicants can now apply for licenses through the Saral Centre at a cost of Rs 2100, which includes Rs 1500 for training, Rs 500 for the application, and Rs 100 for the Atal Seva Kendra service. Previously, training was conducted by the Home Guards, but it is now offered at six training centers, including locations in Gurugram, Rohtak, Karnal, Hisar, and Narnaul.

These online services for arms licenses encompass various processes such as issuance, renewal, sale/transfer, registration, etc. Applicants are informed about every stage of the process via SMS and can schedule training slots according to their convenience. After completing the requisite training, which includes two days of theory and one day of weapon training, applicants receive a certification.
