82 terrorists waiting at launch pads across PoK: Intel report

The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has sounded an alert that 82 terrorists are stationed at different launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) waiting to intrude and strike security forces in Jammu and Kashmir.

The IB report, accessed by The Daily Guardian, states that under the supervision of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, 82 terrorists of different tanzeems from PoK are trying to infiltrate into the Indian border. The agency has sent a report to the government in which it has been asked to be fully vigilant. Among these terrorists, there are 19 Jaish terrorists who have been given various levels of training in Afghanistan.

“These are fidayeen terrorists, fully equipped with modern weapons. They are present in the Kotli area of PoK. The ISI is fully guided by the constant efforts to infiltrate the Indian border,” the report said.

According to intelligence reports, at present, the activities of terrorists, their guides and porters have intensified at the launch pads and their surrounding areas for infiltration this season. These people are seen doing continuous recce for infiltration. Along with this, the necessary ration, other equipment, weapons and ammunition have been deposited in sufficient quantities for infiltration by the terrorists on the launch pad.

The reports divulges how on the instructions of ISI, the meeting of the top commanders of Al Badr, Jaish, Hizbul and Lashkar has been held in Muzaffarabad of PoK regarding the planning of infiltration.

According to the report of the intelligence agency, terrorists are still active on various launching pads of PoK, whose number is 82; as per the report, 62 terrorists are preparing to infiltrate in the Valley region and 20 in Jammu region. Eight Lashkar terrorists are trying to infiltrate on the Sonard launching pad of Gurez sector in this Valley area; 25 terrorists of Lashkar, Hizbul and Jaish are present at the Kasim-2, Hajiwala, Tejan, Kel and Changnar launch pads of Machhal sector. Twenty-nine terrorists of Lashkar, Hizbul and Al Badr are preparing for infiltration at Dudhniyal, Banchhatar and Athmuqam launch pads in the Keran sector. At the same time, 13 terrorists of Lashkar and Jaish are present at Lanjot launch pad of Bhimber Gali in Jammu region, while 7 terrorists of Nausera are present in Samni and Khareta, the report read. 

ISI has activated smugglers to help the terrorists who are facing shortage of money and weapons. Smugglers, who are making routes for weapons and drugs, are also engaged in reconnaissance for the deployment of security forces. A network has also been activated for supply.

A senior officer associated with the intelligence agency said in a conversation with TDG that the manner in which terrorists are being eliminated under the operation in the Valley, the ISI and the Pakistani Army are furious.
