In the early hours of Saturday, the Bengal police halted eight vehicles carrying livestock near the border between Bengal and Odisha.
The West Midnapore police at the Bengal-Odisha crossing stopped the trucks after spotting suspicious activity.
Illegal cattle were discovered when the vehicles were searched. The police confiscated all the trucks and the livestock.
