In order to wed the daughter of a villager, a minister by the name of Salim Singh threatened the villagers with exorbitant taxes. The locals cursed the site as they left it overnight in order to protect themselves and the girl from the evil minister. The locals there hold the view that no one can live in peace as long as an evil aura still lingers in the town.
