5 killed in Meerut soap godown explosion; CM Yogi extends condolences

An explosion at a soap factory godown in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday claimed the lives of four people, according to an official. District Magistrate Meerut, Deepak Meena, stated, “The explosion occurred due to an impact in a soap manufacturing godown and according to the confirmation received by us four people have died in the incident. He added that those who had been hurt before were no longer in danger. Initial reports indicated that the incident had injured five people. Images taken on the scene showed that the explosion had completely destroyed the affected area.
