Police arrested eight individuals for allegedly transporting 404 kilograms of dry Ganja from Odisha to Hyderabad in Telangana’s Bhadradri Kothagudem district, as reported on Saturday. All eight suspects are residents of Haryana.
“We have confiscated 404 kg of dry Ganja, concealed in plastic trays and under doormats, being transported from Odisha to Hyderabad in a private vehicle,” stated Superintendent of Police, Rohith Raju.
The arrests were made during a routine vehicle check. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the accused had initially come to the area as sellers but later decided to transport Ganja for higher profits with the assistance of two other individuals.
“A case has been registered against all eight accused, and they have been remanded,” SP Raju confirmed. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
