Pune rural police have arrested 3 accused and recovered about 312 Kg of cannabis which was being transported for the purpose of selling.
The police had received information that cannabis is being transported from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh to Satara and Sangli villages of Maharashtra and it will pass from Baramati. Accordingly, they set a trap near Baramati and found a truck carrying about 312 Kg of Cannabis in it worth Rs 46 Lakh. The accused have been identified as Vijay Kanse (26), Vishal Rathod (19), Nilesh Chavan (32) and Yogesh Bhagat (22).
All accused have been booked under relevant sections of the NDPS act and are being interrogated for further to find links.
