2 constables attacked by criminals in Mayapuri of West Delhi

In Mayapuri area of West Delhi two constables of Delhi Police were attacked by surgical blade on the neck and hand by a criminal identified as Vishal alias DC. The Delhi Police officials sustained injuries. The criminal got caught. However before being caught he too attacked himself with surgical blade.

On 27.06.2023, HC Vikrant and Ct. Harish were on area patrolling in the Jhuggi Clusters of Rewari Line. During the patrolling, the beat staff also checks on the BCs of the area. In that process, HC Vikrant was attacked by Vishal@DC and his brother Krishna with a surgical blade. Although HC Vikrant managed to deflect the attack, he sustained injury in the hand.

In the intensive drive against the active criminals, to curb the street crime, the distt. Police is keeping a close watch on the areas prone to such incidents.

Meanwhile, his buddy-pair Ct. Harish intervened and both of them overpowered Vishal and Krishna. In the search, a button actuated knife was also recovered from the possession of Krishna.

A case under the provisions of IPC and Arms Act has been registered and arrest of both the accused has been affected.

Vishal@DC is a BC and his brother Krishna also has previous involvement in a criminal case, according to police.
