1984 Sikh riots Case: Court to pronounce judgment in Sajjan Kumar’s case on August 29

Sajjan Kumar appeared in court in connection of Delhi’s Sultanpuri murder case of 6 people related to 1984 Sikh riots. The decision on Sajjan Kumar has been postponed in Rouse Avenue Court today. The Rouse Avenue Court will pronounce judgment in the case on August 29, 2023. The court said that it will take more time to write the verdict. Sajjan Kumar appeared in the court through video conferencing. Congress leader Sajjan Kumar is accused of inciting people to kill Sikhs.6 people were killed during Sikh riots in Sultanpuri area. Cham Kaur, a CBI witness in the Sultanpuri riots, had said that Sajjan Kumar was instigating the mob during the riots. In July 2010, the Karkardooma court framed charges against Sajjan Kumar, Brahmanand, Peru, Kushal Singh and Ved Prakash in connection with the killing of six people in Sultanpuri during the anti-Sikh riots.
